Canner Operator

MCC’s relief ministries include a mobile meat canner which travels yearly to over 30 locations across the U.S. and Canada to preserve donated meat. This meat is then shared with communities in need across the globe. A team of four Canner Operators travel to all sites for a two-year service term. Canners are responsible for all aspects of the project including: operating steam and pressure vessels, coordinating volunteers, maintaining and communicating USDA regulations, and the maintenance of all machinery in the canning process.
