Canner Operator

Are you a hands-on person looking for a unique opportunity? MCC is seeking Canner Operators for its mobile meat canner which operates from October through April by traveling to 30 different locations in the U.S. During this time, MCC workers and volunteers preserve hundreds of thousands of cans of meat for communities in need across the globe. Canners are responsible for all aspects of the project, including operating steam and pressure vessels, coordinating volunteers, maintaining and communicating USDA regulations, and the maintenance of all machinery in the canning process.
