Bishop Elder Team

Bishop Board and Conference Executive Council recently affirmed the placement of a Bishop Elder Team to lead LMC for the next three to five years and continue the prayerful discernment regarding governance and structure.

Marcia Mylin

Marcia Mylin serves as LMC resource staff, STEP Director and is a member of the Bishop Elder Team. She is also responsible for event planning, human resources and has a heart for prayer ministries. Marcia and her husband Dale have 5 adult children and are members of Byerland Mennonite Church.

Marcia has degrees in Christian Education from Messiah College, a Master’s in Religion and a Doctorate in Theology from Evangelical Theological Seminary.

Her desire is to speak life into dry bones (Ezekiel 37:1-14) and to encourage and equip believers to be rooted and established in love so they will know the deep love of Christ that surpasses knowledge that they may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. (Ephesians 3:16-20).

Rodney A. Martin

Rodney Martin serves on the Bishop Elder Team and is also one of the Bishops in the Conestoga River District.  Formerly, Rodney served as pastor at Lititz Mennonite Church from 2000 till 2022.  Rodney and his wife Angie have two children, one in art school and the other in high school.  His hobbies include mountain biking, watching his son compete in archery and gardening or anything else that gets him outdoors.  Rodney has a Master of Divinity with a focus on missiology.

Rodney’s passion is to see the church in movement, connecting with younger generations to make disciples who live Christ-centered lives that are transforming the world.  His hope is for the Spirit to call and send leaders into the mission as in Acts 13:1-3.  To see multiplying, vibrant, missional communities in living in mission with Christ for the whole world.

Keith W. Blank

Keith serves on the Bishop Elders Team and as the bishop for the Landisville-Manor District.  He works co-vocationally and is also a license realtor with Coldwell Banker Realty. Prior to his work as a bishop, Keith served as lead pastor at Mountville Mennonite Church for nine years. He also working international mission administration with Eastern Mennonite Missions and served in various capacities there. His last assignment at Eastern Mennonite Missions was giving oversight for long-term missionaries in Eastern & Western Europe.

Keith is a graduate of Eastern Mennonite University, where he completed degrees in Biology and in Christian Ministries. In addition, Keith also graduated from Eastern Mennonite Seminary with a Certificate in Ministry Leadership. Keith has been married to Brenda (Burkhart) Blank for more than 38 years and they are the parents of three adult children. Bekah married to AJ Leaman, Laura married to Will Poskitt, and Matthew married to Kiersten Stoltzfus Blank. Keith and Brenda also have five grandchildren.

Keith was born in Mexico where his parents served for 12 years as pioneer missionaries with Franconia Mennonite Missions among an indigenous people group. His passion and commitment is to help the Church grow in the areas of discipleship and mission. Keith’s vision is to empower, equip and support leaders as they seek to follow Jesus both in the church and in the marketplace. His life mission statement is “to equip, raise up, and mobilize leaders in the body of Christ while modeling an obedient, Spirit-filled life thereby enabling others to see their own gifting and calling.”

 

Tuyen Nguyen

Tuyen Nguyen is a bishop of Philadelphia District, a member of EMM board, and a member of Bishop Elder Team. He was called to do mission work where ever the opportunity arises, with the current focus on Vietnam, where he is passionately engaged for bringing the Good News to lost souls and training of
leaders for Vietnamese Mennonite Church in Vietnam. His daily activities include writing and teaching bible studies, translating training materials from English to Vietnamese, and training young future leaders in Bible and Science knowledge. Tuyen was a pastor of Vietnamese Mennonite Church in Philadelphia, Church For the Needy, and Delaware Mennonite Evangelical Fellowship.

Tuyen has BA in chemistry from William Jewel College, PhD in Organic Chemistry from University of Illinois. Tuyen was also a STEP graduate. As an example of Pauline tent-maker model, Tuyen worked as a researcher, a team leader, a manager at Hercules Incorporated for thirty-eight years to invent new things and travel the world to explore and collaborate in relevant sciences and technologies.

With the recent call to be a member of the Bishop Elder Team, Tuyen sees a globally transforming LMC with visions and commitments like a young forest with strong roots of five hundred years of history, joyfully growing and changing in the wind of the Holy Spirit of Isaiah 55:12-13. As Jesus is Lord, the word that was written of Isaiah 55:11 became the spoken commission – “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations…” (Matthew 28:18-20). Tuyen is committed to know LMC, to facilitate Intercultural Leadership Ministry and engaged in Mission Mobilization and Making Disciples.

Tuyen and Aileen are parents of three married children Lam (Anita), Lanny (Richard), and Aivi (Jeremy), and four grandchildren.
