    The LMC office is looking for a creative individual to lead the development of Shalom News. Shalom News has four 12-page issues a year: January, April, July, and October. This person would work with an administrative assistant and a guest editor for each issue for 10 hours a month. Primary duties, in coordination with the administrative assistant and guest editor, would involve developing annual themes, selecting guest editors, selecting writers, editing content, some creation of content, and approving designer and printer proofs. Grasp of English grammar and mechanics a must. Computer abilities, editing experience, team leadership, and workflow management would be key skills for the successful candidate.     ReUzit on State in Ephrata is urgently seeking cashiers, greeters, and donation receiving volunteers. Various days and shifts are available between 9 am and 5 pm, Monday through Saturday, plus Friday evening from 5 pm to 8 pm. Service frequency can be weekly, biweekly, or monthly. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. In addition to receiving 20% off of purchases, volunteers have the satisfaction that they are helping to generate support for the local and global programs of Mennonite Central Committee.

  • Children and Youth Choir

    Calling all children and youth! You are invited to join the Mennonite Children’s Choir of Lancaster (MCCL). We recognize more than ever the importance of music, community, and faith. MCCL is re-envisioning choral training and will offer a fall semester full of innovative music learning with COVID-19 safety guidelines in place. Our flexible semester will include modified in-person rehearsals (primarily outside) and a “reimagined” fall concert.

  • Volunteer opportunity with Eastern Mennonite Missions

    Need a break from being at home? There is an opportunity for you to volunteer at EMM’s new office building at 450 North Prince Street, currently under construction. We’re looking for help pulling new ethernet cables throughout the building. The work is not very physically demanding, however, volunteers should be in reasonably good health. We will follow strict COVID-19 guidelines, by providing work masks for all volunteers, and everyone must abide by 6-foot social distancing parameters.   • Landis Communities seeks Home Care Aides

    Following the plan for care established to provide personal care (such as bathing, dressing, and medication reminders) and home tasks (such as meal preparation, making beds, and laundry) to clients in their homes both at Landis Homes and in the greater Lancaster County community.

    Experience caregiving in a facility or home setting with older adults is very helpful. Being a certified nursing assistant, (CNA) is not necessary, but is a plus. Hands-on training and support will be provided by our Registered Nurses. See
