  • Conference Minister

    The LMC office is accepting applications for the position of Conference Minister. This is a part-time, two days per week position. Persons of color are encouraged to apply and will be given preference. This individual will work with the LMC Credentialing Commission to credential new leaders, work with congregations to update and maintain their child protection policies, assist congregations and leaders in conflict and transition, and help to assimilate new congregations.

    Job Synopsis: The Manager of Maintenance and Sustainability provides oversight for maintenance at the MCC Akron campus, including the office building, dining hall, Welcoming Place (guest houses and meeting center), residential houses, and a fleet of vehicles. The manager is committed to practices and initiatives that increase energy efficiency, reduce emissions, and support environmental well-being. The manager is responsible for the preventative maintenance plan, for solving maintenance problems, and for working with the supervisor and outside personnel (contractors, county, and borough authorities) to plan for renovations, building construction, and building sale or removal. This person supervises two staff persons and does a share of maintenance work. Must be available on a flexible schedule to respond to maintenance emergencies.

    Job Synopsis:

    The Global Service Learning (GSL) Program Administrative Assistant provides primary administrative support to the IVEP and YAMEN Coordinator as well as some duties for the SALT Coordinator and GSL Director. The duties performed by the incumbent help coordinators meet the goals and objectives of their programs and assist them in the day-to-day details of their role. A significant part of this job involves arranging travel logistics for SALT, IVEP, and YAMEN participants.
