  • Summer Service Program National Coordinator at Mennonite Central Committee

    MCC U.S. is seeking a Summer Service Program National Coordinator. The Mennonite Central Committee Summer Service Program National Coordinator is responsible for the overall oversight and administration of the Summer Service Program – a short-term program in the United States that supports young people of color in their development of leadership skills through working with their local churches or communities.

    The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to working at anti-oppression and possess familiarity and previous engagement with Mennonite, Brethren in Christ or other Anabaptist churches. A Bachelor’s degree or related experience in youth ministry and/or social work is required along with experience working with culturally diverse groups and urban settings and experience working with urban and poverty issues. Bilingual English/Spanish fluency preferred. The National Coordinator builds and maintains relationships and works closely with Summer Service Coordinators in each of the U.S. regional offices.

  • A number of Landis Communities affiliates are seeking volunteers

    Landis Homes, located near Lititz, has a variety of volunteer needs: Oregon Dairy grocery shopper (Mondays at 7 am), Physical Therapy/Exercise wheelchair escorts, entrance greeters, Bingo helpers, mail sorting/delivery, Sunday morning chapel escorts, General Store/Gift Shoppe cashiers, and helpers in Adult Day Services. Substitutes are also always needed for escorting residents by wheelchair to their various appointments and activities, and to sort and deliver mail on campus. Call Moniqua at 717-509-5409.
