Friday Local History Tours

Small Church, Big Possibilities: Reimagining Ministry in the Margins

Location: River Corner Church, 524 River Corner Rd., Conestoga PA 17516

Time: 9:30 am – 12:00 pm on Friday, September 26

Cost: Free

Join us in our historic stone meetinghouse at River Corner Church, where Jesus followers have gathered since the early 1700s. Throughout our history, we’ve remained a small church—but one marked by deep intentionality. In 2022, we embraced a new chapter, honoring the past while reimagining our future. In the last three years, we’ve refreshed our bylaws, governance, vision, values, and crafted our own statement of faith. Our community has grown from 12 to 45 as we’ve leaned into becoming a creative and simple community of Jesus followers.

This gathering will offer conversation and connection for leaders of smaller churches who are curious about what renewal and sustainability can look like. We’ll discuss how small congregations can thrive through creative workarounds in areas like digital design, websites, events, editing, and shared leadership. Prepare to share your hopes, resources, and questions. Whether you’re in a season of discernment, transition, or hope, this time together will offer encouragement, ideas, and solidarity.
