There will be a special meeting of the Lancaster County Parkinson’s Support Group held on the evening of July 29. The topic for the evening is “”Eye Concerns for Persons with Parkinson’s,” with ophthalmologist Lee A Klombers. Klombers, of the Campus Eye Center, is a neuro-ophthalmologist with over 30 years’ experience. The presentation will be followed by a time of questions and answers.
The public meeting is scheduled for Monday, July 29 at 6:30 p.m. in the Westview community room at Landis Homes, 1001 East Oregon Road, Lititz. Following the meeting will be a time of refreshments and informal discussion. The next meeting for caregivers of persons with memory loss and other forms of dementia will be held on Tuesday, July 30 at Landis Homes. The topic for the evening will be “Comfort and Care When It’s Needed Most.” The speaker will be Joan Groh, who is the community relations liaison with Hospice and Community Care, Lancaster. She will explore how hospice care supports families who are caring for persons with memory loss. Following the presentation there will be time for questions, discussion and refreshments. The meeting will start at 7:00 p.m. in the Warwick Room of the Heritage special care center at Landis Homes at 1001 East Oregon Road, Lititz.
