LMC maintains a number of global relationships with other churches through our International Partner Delegate program.
During the twentieth-century, LMC’s mission agency, Eastern Mennonite Missions (EMM), planted churches all over the world. Over the years, many of these church plants have grown and flourished so that they are now fully established national church bodies. While these churches are fully independent from LMC and EMM, we continue to value these relationships and partner with them in the mission of God. We experience a mutuality of giving and receiving and of blessing and being blessed through these relationships.
LMC strives to faithfully steward our global church relationships through our International Partner Delegate (IPD) program, in which we appoint individuals or couples to lead LMC’s relationship with particular churches. For each region, these global relationships look different. However, they often consist of prayer with and for one another, trips to visit and encourage the church, and regular communication back and forth. Our IPD program is overseen by Tom Eshleman, LMC’s Global Delegate.
We currently have International Partner Delegate relationships with the Hong Kong Mennonite Church, Belize Evangelical Mennonite Church, Vietnam Mennonite Church, Kenya Mennonite Church, Meserete Kristos Church of Ethiopia, Tanzania Mennonite Church, Peruvian Mennonite Church, and the Kekchi Mennonite Church of Guatemala.
Glenn Kauffman is our International Partner Delegate for the Hong Kong Mennonite Church.
Felix and Emily Diaz are our International Partner Delegates for the Belize Evangelical Mennonite Church.
Rodney and Angie Martin are our International Partner Delegates for the Vietnam Mennonite Church.
Tom Eshleman is currently in the role of International Partner Delegate for the Kenya Mennonite Church while he looks for a more permanent person or couple to become delegate/s.
Glenn Kauffman is our International Partner Delegate for the Meserete Kristos Church of Ethiopia.
Joe and Yvonne Garber are our International Partner Delegates for the Tanzania Mennonite Church.
Steve and Beth Gibbs are our International Partner Delegates for the Peruvian Mennonite Church.
Alan Eshleman is our International Partner Delegate for the Kekchi Mennonite Church of Guatemala.
