A Lancaster County Amish and a Union County Mennonite Carriage Maker will trace the rise and fall of carriage making from the 1930s to the present, including the use of hydraulic brakes, fiberglass, lighting and other changes. Free and open to the public.

A hymn sing with five different Lancaster County religious groups, illustrating and commenting on the distinct musical styles of the Mennonites, Church of the Brethren, Old Order Amish, Old Order Mennonites, and Brethren in Christ. Audience participation encouraged. Free and open to the public.

Dr. Leith Anderson will speak Monday, February 26 during a morning seminar entitled “Pastoring in the best of times and the worst of times.” Local pastors are invited to this free half-day seminar, which will start with a complimentary breakfast at 8 a.m.

Enjoy an evening of music as the Berkshire Brass Quintet performs in the Chapel. The group includes local musicians who have been recognized locally, regionally and internationally. The performance will feature Paul Briedenstine (Trumpet), James Spangler (Trumpet), Gary Mishler (Trombone), Charles Ebersole (Tuba), and Erwin Chandler (French Horn).

Beth Oberholtzer, author of “Plain Meetinghouses: Lancaster County Old Order Mennonites Gather to Worship” will present this evening.
