The global pandemic we are all experiencing is creating opportunities for us to rethink so much of what we do and how we do it. That includes rethinking how we encourage and facilitate prayer gatherings across LMC.

Believing that the Lord is calling his people to prayer, we are planning a one-hour online conference-wide prayer meeting. This will be hosted by the LMC office using our Zoom capabilities, so anyone with access to the internet can join in wherever they are. Please extend this invitation to anyone in your congregation who might have an interest in participating.

Because of the likelihood of a large group, this will be guided prayer time, including:

• 5 minutes – Welcome and Purpose
• 10 minutes – Dwelling briefly in our Acts 1 text
•  5 minutes – LMC’s mission statement
• 20 minutes breakout rooms for sharing and prayer
• 10 minutes – reconvene large group for closing comments and prayer

Obviously, this is an experiment!  We have no idea how many people might join in. But we believe it is an experiment from which we can learn and make adaptations for future, similar prayer gatherings. We hope you will join us.
