I am the pastor at Zion Mennonite Church in Birdsboro, PA. Last year, I began a membership class with a few folks who were interested in journeying with us. 

One young woman shared deeply with us about her life choices that took her far away from God. During our discussions, the Lord prompted me to keep sharing with the larger group about God’s goodness and desire for relationship with his children.

God moved in this young woman’s heart in such a way it encouraged her to embrace the concept that God is for us, he loves us, and he desires for us to live in a trusting relationship with him! It was awesome to see first-hand how God transformed this woman before my eyes. He even began to heal some of her mental health issues as she deepened her relationship and walk with the Lord.

She said she had never had someone explain God’s desire for a relationship with his children so clearly before her time together with this class.

Last Resurrection Sunday, I had the opportunity to baptize her as a sign of her recommitment to following Christ. To God be the glory!
